Terms of Use
These terms govern use of CASFolio, operated by Camilo Quirós Mendoza. A signed school agreement controls if it conflicts with these terms for that school.
The service
CASFolio helps IB students organize CAS activities, reflections, evidence, learning outcomes, and exports. It is not an IB service and does not guarantee programme completion, assessment outcomes, or acceptance of any portfolio.
Accounts and appropriate use
Users must provide accurate account information, protect their credentials, and use CASFolio lawfully and respectfully. Students may use CASFolio only with any approval required by their school, parent, guardian, or local law. Do not upload unlawful content, another person’s private data without a valid reason, malware, or material that infringes rights.
Your work and our limited permission
You retain ownership of your portfolio work and evidence. You grant CASFolio a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, back up, display to authorized users, secure, and export that content solely to operate and support CASFolio. This permission ends when the content is deleted, except for short-lived backups and legal retention. CASFolio does not sell, publish, advertise with, or commercially reuse portfolio content.
Schools and coordinators
School coordinators receive only the access described in their school agreement and active class assignment. They must keep student records confidential and follow their school’s privacy obligations. A school does not receive ownership of every student’s work through CASFolio.
Sharing and exports
Public sharing is optional and off by default. Share links expire after 30 days and may be revoked. Anyone who receives a live link can view its contents. Students can request a free account-data export. External evidence links and files already downloaded by another person may not be retrievable or revocable.
Current free access and changes
Current CASFolio features are offered free for the foreseeable future. No payment card is required and no account automatically becomes paid. CASFolio will give at least 120 days’ notice before ordinary service discontinuation or a proposed price change. Any future charge requires affirmative agreement. Emergency security action may require faster temporary restrictions.
Support, privacy, and termination
CASFolio aims to acknowledge support requests within two business days. The Privacy Notice forms part of these terms. You may stop using CASFolio and delete your account at any time. CASFolio may restrict access for security, legal, or serious misuse reasons, with notice when reasonable.
Liability and disputes
To the extent permitted by law, CASFolio’s aggregate liability under these terms or a free school agreement is limited to US$150. This limit does not exclude liability that cannot legally be limited. Before bringing a dispute, the parties will try to resolve it informally for 30 days. Courts with jurisdiction in Veracruz, Mexico will hear unresolved disputes, subject to mandatory law.
